Our Tree Removal Services
Tree Felling
We offer professional tree felling in Wakefield and the surrounding areas. Tree felling is the simplest and quickest method for tree removal. However, tree felling requires a lot of space and can cause damage. This is why our tree removal team are qualified to NPTC CS 31 as a minimum. Which alongside a few years of experience means your tree felling is in good hands.

Tree Dismantling
Tree dismantling is a method of tree removal often used in built-up urban environments where the risk of damaging property is high. It involves a qualified Tree Surgeon either climbing the tree with a rope and harness or, using a mobile elevated work access platform to get into the canopy of the tree. The tree is then dismantled into manageable sections and often roped down to a safe landing area.

About M Potts Tree Services
Matthew Potts established M Potts Tree Services in 2005 following his certification as a Tree Surgeon from Craven College. With initial experience as a subcontractor and gradually undertaking independent projects, Matthew accumulated valuable expertise over 17 years. Presently, he imparts his wealth of experience and knowledge to his team.
Matthew's deep-rooted passion lies in the preservation and care of trees, advocating for their maintenance rather than resorting to unnecessary 'lopping and topping' practices. Nevertheless, he recognizes that in certain situations and to meet specific requirements, it may be more suitable to remove a tree and replant a more suitable alternative.

Do I Need Permission To Cut Down A Tree?
That depends. If your tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) on it or lies within a conservation area then yes, you need permission to do any work on your tree. This includes the removal of any branches or damage to any roots. The TPO even includes affixing signage to the tree (this is actually where TPOs came from).
